NOTD Nails of the Day + H&M Nailpolishes

Ive been doing a bit of shopping for an upcoming event (more about that in a few days. VERY exciting!) and while looking around in H&M this little nailpolish trio caught my eye. I have never really tried H&M beauty products or nailpolishes before so I wasn't really sure what to expect. By the way the colour variety they have is pretty amazing.
So coming back to this little trio. How perfect is this for autumn/winter? Berry shades are big in the coming season and I thought these would be great to wear in the wintery months as well as add an exciting pop of colour rather than wearing dull and boring shades.

The trio contains a really nice deep plum, Lilac Plum (my fav!), a red, Red Head (perfectestest red ever!) and a slightly dark pink (Pink Preppy). They apply really well and really smoothly and just one coat does the trick. I have one coat of Lilac Plum on my nails at the moment and I am sure I don't own any similar shades to this!

I wanna know though, what are your favourite shades for the upcoming AW season?

NOTD - Nails Of The Day: Louboutin French Mani

Well, if I can't have a pair of the real deal, might as well be wearing it in some way right? Thought I would give my own twist to the regular (boring?) french mani and what better combination than red and black!

I used Barry M Black for the base and 17 cosmetics Knockout Red for the tips.

NOTD: Nail of the Day: A bright french

I don't think I've done/had a french manicure in ages. But whats a nail of the day without a bright twist? Made it up as I went along but love it and it has lasted me a good couple of days too!

Green: Misguided (got this free with a magazine a couple of months ago, not too sure about the name)
Yellow: Bourjois So Laque in Jaune Trendy 39 (This looks great by itself too! See here)

NOTD: Nail of the Day - Cracked Red

My friend Nada was over the other day and asked me to do her nails. Since she is really in the red nail polish phase, she definitely wanted a bright red. I decided to do with Knockout Red by 17 but wanted to make it more interesting so added a gold shatter nail polish (by OPI). We thought it looked great, what do you guys think?

How to: Remove Glitter Nailpolish

Hey everyone, today's blogpost is a little different than usual. Its more of a tutorial/how to.
I watched Misschievous's video a couple of months ago on how to remove glitter nail polish and knew I had to try if I ever had glitter nail polish on, as it is a pain to take off.

If you saw my previous Nail of the Day where I got my nails done by the Andrea Fulerton reps, you probably noticed the glitter dust that was used. Although it has lasted me more than a week without anything even near to chipping, I got a little bored and wanted to change it up and decided to finally take it off.

Step 1: Obviously you will have glitter on your nails.
Step 2: Cut 10 rectangular sized strips of normal kitchen foil and cut 5 cotton pads into half.
Step 3: Soak it in nail polish remover
Step 4: You will now make sure you have a fully soaked cotton pad.

Step 5: Wrap the cotton pad around your nail.
Step 6: Secure it properly with the foil so it is fully covered and tight.
Step 7: Do the same with all the nails and wait for about 2 minutes or so.
Step 8: Just slide the foil+cotton off your nail (you dont really need to rub, but if you had ALOT of glitter, just twist it off lightly)

And you're done! If you use a cuticle cream or nourishing treatment this will be a good time to put it in a leave it on for a bit before you move on. I used the ELF nourishing cuticle pen because it isnt too oily and is a good quick fix.

I hope you liked this post and let me know if you would like to see more of these "how to" posts for nails/makeup/clothes.

NOTD: Nail of the Day - Andrea Fulerton

These beautiful nails were done for me by the lovely Angela at the Superdrug preview event (detailed blogpost coming soon. Theres so much good stuff to share!). Andrea is a freelance manicurist and nail technician who was representing the Andrea Fulerton brand and I was lucky enough to get a complimentary manicure.
The shade is called Julia and the glitter is from the Glitter puff dust box set.
I love it because it is so elegant and fun at the same time.

My manicure after 3 days:

Hope you liked these nails, I sure love them and so far they havent really chipped either.
